Ready, set, go!
While kicking off your new AV project is exciting, there is a lot to consider before getting started. By compiling some information ahead of time, you can save yourself a lot of time and energy down the line.
Initial Design Consultation
Our consultants will meet with you to discuss your specific project plans, and get to know your environment and your requirements in order to best lay out your scope of work, expectations, budget and project timeline.
Consultation Checklist
- Who will be the primary user of your technology?
- What is the intended purpose of your AV environment?
- What types of media will be used to present information?
- Will the furniture and equipment in your room be stationary, or will you need the option to rearrange it as needed?
- Will users need the ability to take notes during presentations?
- Have you determined whether you prefer front or rear projection?
- Do you have any other special requirements, such as lighting control, additional telephone lines, IP and LAN cabling, electrical outlets in tables, etc?
- Have you selected a computer platform?
- Will you need to integrate any existing equipment? Which items?
Site Assessment
We’ll get to know your space inside and out in order to determine the best plan for implementing your new AV system. This includes a survey of electrical outlets, cabling, furniture, and other factors that need to be assessed for an optimal technology environment. Depending on the benefits and limitations of your space, we’ll create a plan for your approval.
Assessment Checklist
- What is the intended purpose of your room?
- What type of screen and display system do you want?
- Can we access your electrical sources and cabling?
- What type of audio system do you want?
- Do you need microphones? Where would you like them placed?
- What are the dimensions of your space?
- How high is your ceiling? What type of ceiling is it?
- How do you control the lighting now? Can you control ambient lighting now?
- What is your project budget?
- When do you hope to complete the project?
- Are there any special requirements we should consider?
